Newbies welcome

New to this? Start here.

No gatekeeping, no eye-rolls, no “you should already know that.” Walk in with zero experience and leave with a deck or a painted miniature, plus the confidence to use it.

Q.01

How do I start with Pokémon?

Cheapest on-ramp in the hobby. Pick up a $15 starter deck, show up Thursday for league night, we’ll teach you the rules in five minutes. By turn three you’ll be saying “Tackle for 30” without irony.

Q.02

What is a pre-release?

The Saturday a new set drops, before the public can buy it. You crack a kit of fresh boosters, build a 40-card deck on the spot, then play in a friendly tournament. The set is brand new so everyone’s confused together. Best newcomer event by a mile.

Q.03

Can I bring my kid to league night?

Thursday Pokémon League is built for it. Decks to borrow, judges who don’t sigh at kids, and a culture where the adults still remember being nine and obsessed with starters. Parents play too. Bring your kid, bring yourself.

Q.04

What about my first D&D night?

Adventurers League runs every Saturday, drop-in friendly. We’ll hand you a character sheet, a set of dice, and a DM who’ll guide you through a four-hour adventure. Yes, you can be a rogue named “Crouton.” We’ve seen worse.

Or just walk in and ask We’ll get you sorted.

Got a shoebox?

Cash or store credit for your old cards.

Found a binder in the attic from '99? We pay fair rates on Pokémon, Magic, One Piece, and Riftbound collections. Singles, sealed product, bulk, the whole stack. Cash for what you want to part with, or store credit at a better rate if you'd rather walk out with new product in hand.

Not sure what you’ve got? Bring it anyway. The “worthless” card someone almost threw out has paid off plenty of times.

  1. 01

    Bring it in.

Or text photos to 940-233-POKE first if you want a ballpark before you drive over.

  2. 02

    We sort and offer.

Transparent pricing, no lowballs. We’ll walk you through how we landed there.

  3. 03

    Walk out.

Cash, store credit at a better rate, or your binder back. Zero pressure either way.

Dealer note

A Texas store, carrying a Texas brand.

Reaper Miniatures has been casting fantasy figures out of Denton, Texas since 1992, back when a d20 was just a d20 and your character sheet was graph paper. The catalog runs 5,000+ figures across Bones plastic, Dark Heaven Legends metal, Dungeon Dwellers, and the Master Series Paints line that lives on every painter’s shelf.

We’ll stock their D&D-side range on the shelf. Anything outside what we carry, we can order. Two places to browse before we open:
